We would like to take this time to say “welcome back” to the Conference Center at Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. Welcome back because so many of you remember Fairfield Bay fondly as the place of choice for meetings, family reunions, weddings and business conferences from 1978 to 2002. The Conference Center here in Fairfield Bay was proud to host Governors, Senators, even a former President. In the fall of 2002 the center was closed and stayed closed until it was donated by the owner to the city of Fairfield Bay in 2012.
In early 2012 the city received a grant to repair the Conference Center structure which was in dire need. The building set empty for over eleven years with the roof leaking and both the exterior and interior in bad disrepair. After receiving the grant, the work began and was completed by the end of October 2013. The funds received by the city from the grant were for the building only. The city of Fairfield Bay and Friends of the Bay gave of their time and money for all the needed interior furnishings and amenities, to date more than $100,000.00. We are proud to show you what we now have. State of the art sound and lighting in our main Conference Room and Performing Arts Theater. We have the latest in conference furnishings and technical equipment for class room, banquet, conference or business meetings. In addition we offer Fishing, Boating, Hiking, Biking Trails, Two Championship Golf Courses, a Tennis Center that has hosted NCAA Division One Playoff’s, four Swimming Pools, a full Marina, as well as a fully equipped Fitness Center with an Olympic Swimming Pool.
We are also home to The North Central Arkansas Art Gallery and The North Central Arkansas Foundation For Arts and Education.
If you have never experienced Fairfield Bay, we invite you to join us and find out what we know, “Someday Starts Today at Fairfield Bay”. Please enjoy our web site and just imagine what a wonderful and productive experience it will be to renew your mind and spirit here in Fairfield Bay.

Hi, I’m Tommy Cauley, a master fishing guide for Greers Ferry Lake. If you are looking for great fishing excitement give me a call. I was born and raised in Bee Branch, AR, just a short drive from the lake. I’ve been a guide for hire since 1994 and have been fishing this lake since 1965. For 5 years I enjoyed fishing the Pro / Am circuits, such as “Mr. Bass of Arkansas” and the “Everstart” series. I am currently the President of the Greers Ferry Anglers II Bass club (Arkansas Bass Federation affiliation). For more
detailed information, check my resume page.
I’m serious about my fishing and enjoy spending the day with other people who “just like to fish”.

Hey, if you have a son or daughter who hasn’t been fishing… bring them along. If they are beginners we’ll let them throw a line over the side or jig, and they will learn the joy of
fishing. It’s a great way to make wonderful memories with your kids.

As Owners of Goodwin & Herman Associates Real Estate, we are delighted that you have an interest in Fairfield Bay and the Greers Ferry Lake area. We are dedicated to providing the most reliable real estate service and community information to you. We are a full-service agency, working with both Sellers and Buyers, and provide short-term rentals. Goodwin & Herman Associates was established in March of 1998, with partners Roger and Diana Goodwin. The Goodwins retired in December, 2013, after 16 years with us as the leading agency in listings and sales. We continue that tradition as leaders in the industry, and are committed to providing the very best real estate service you can expect!
Fred is our Man of all Seasons, and would rather be out showing property, especially home sites and acreages, than being in the office. Fred is very community minded and serves our area on several Boards of Directors, including the Ozark Health Foundation Board as President and the Petit Jean Electric Cooperative Board of Directors. He serves as a Deacon at Fairfield Bay Baptist Church, sings in the choir, and is a substitute Sunday School Teacher. Fred enjoys working on their property outside of Fairfield Bay, gardening, nature-watching, hunting, and hiking. We have lived here and loved the resort lifestyle since 1985 when Fred came as the Tennis Director. He served in that capacity for 13 years before being “pressed into service” with the agency! He jokes that his job is “to take out the trash and put up signs”! But don’t be fooled by that . . . . he loves helping people to learn about Fairfield Bay and to find the right property to fit their needs without high-pressured salesmanship.
Willena started in real estate in the community in 1990, and was an immediate success. She was a leading listing and selling agent for several consecutive years. This created a desire to start their own business, Goodwin & Herman Associates Real Estate, in 1998. Willena has served as the Principal Broker from the beginning and has been one of our sales team’s leaders. Her strengths are being able to sense and evaluate clients’ needs, attention to detail, negotiations, and customer satisfaction.
She also handles most of the company computer and communications demands. Before coming to Fairfield Bay, she was a Corporate Trainer with Dillard Department Stores in Little Rock for several years, and was a store Dept. Manager and Executive Office Secretary prior to that. When she and Fred moved here, she was the Tennis Pro Shop Manager, then did training, personnel, & customer service for Fairfield Communities, Inc.
What else does she enjoy during her limited off-work hours? Cooking, traveling, checking out flea markets, and her commitment to different areas of service through their church….singing in choir and providing solos or playing piano, Secretary of Personnel Committee, serving on the Music Committee, Women’s Ministry, and missions projects. She is able to provide everyone the information and resources they will need to make their real estate decisions, whether listing or selling a property.
Melissa Clifton is the newest member of our progressive sales team. She first began her real estate activity in North Carolina. After locating back to Arkansas in 1999, she obtained her license here.
Melissa worked in agencies in the Little Rock and Maumelle communities, and later earned her broker’s license. She is an Associate Broker currently with us at Goodwin & Herman Associates. Adding to this experience, Melissa has also been a licensed insurance adjuster, and held an Appraisers License for 9 years.
Assisting Building Contractors with the purchase of lots and planning subdivisions, drawing house plans, and then selling those houses are additional real estate successes for Melissa. She and her husband John own Air Solutions of Arkansas, a full-service HVAC company. Melissa also handles most of the office management duties for this busy company. John is a certified technician for several home warranty companies, so Melissa is very familiar with the importance of warranties and claims. They purchased a home here in Fairfield Bay in early 2013. They have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. Melissa is already involved in the Ladies’ Golf Association, and enjoys bowling, boating, & fishing.
Her new love for Fairfield Bay and the entire Greers Ferry Lake area makes her excited about sharing info with potential residents and assisting in their real estate search. Melissa has become an active part of our community and Goodwin & Herman Associates Real Estate. She will help YOU get started with the wonderful lifestyle we all enjoy here in Fairfield Bay and the Greers Ferry Lake area.
YES…..We handle rentals! Just another service we offer to help you experience the Fairfield Bay lifestyle, for a weekend or longer. We have different types of homes and condos to fit your accommodation needs, from efficiencies to 2 Bedroom Condos, and homes. Just call us or complete the form below to let us know your intended dates of travel, and the number in your party so we can book the right place for you! All of the units are updated, fully furnished with linens, kitchenware, paper goods, etc. — you only need to pack your clothes and any food items you will need! We will be happy to discuss your special needs and requests to provide the most enjoyable stay. We will arrange for key pick-up and check-in, payments, share info on events and activities as well.
If you own a nicely updated and fully furnished condo or home that you would like for us to rent for you, contact us about our Rental Management Program. We will take the hassle out of booking rentals, collecting and paying the required taxes, and more!
