Emergency Services: The Fairfield Bay Department of Public Safety is here for the residents and visitors well-being. The Department is small enough to know you, but large enough to meet your needs. We have 24-hour 911 dispatch service, a full-time police department, certified fire department with three stations and an emergency rescue squad with two fully-equipped ambulances. Housing: New house starts are up and Fairfield Bay is growing to accommodate the influx of new families and retirees who have chosen to make Fairfield Bay their home. Fairfield Bay offers a wide variety of housing options and price ranges. Whether you are a visitor or prospective new resident, you will find many choices for purchase or rental, sort term or long term. Single-family homes and condominiums range from the cozy nest in the woods to the expansive lakefront or attractive golf course locations. Wherever you choose to live, you will find your neighbors to be friendly, interesting and ready to make you feel at home!
Churches: Fairfield Bay is home to churches of many denominations, with several located just outside its boundaries. Visitors are welcome at all, and information on locations and times of services is available at the Chamber of Commerce Office or listedd under member/church.
Medical Facilities: A general medical clinic, holistic, dental, hearing, and massage therapy professionals, is located in Fairfield Bay along with a full-services pharmacy. Indian Rock Village also operates a Medicare-certified 55-bed skilled nursing care facility, plus assisted-living apartments. There are five hospitals within an hour of the Bay, the closest (Ozark Health Medical Center) in nearby Clinton. Little Rock boasts many world-renowned medical facilities. Baptist Health and Ozark Health has clinics here in the Bay.
Services: Fairfield Bay has a well-stocked library built and supported by the community and run by volunteers. We boast our own newspaper (Fairfield Bay News), radio station (KFFB FM 106.1) and cable TV station. We also make good use of our recycling center, seasonal community market, community garden and compost site. Lakewood Mall, in the heart of the Bay, offers residents and visitors a variety of businesses and shops, with even more choices in the surrounding areas.
City Government: Fairfield Bay has a mayor and six alderman, a Planning and Zoning Commission, a Public Works committee and, in cooperation with the Fairfield Bay Community Club, provides services to our residents and property owners.
