City of Fairfield Bay
City of Fairfield BayBiography
This community, home to 2,338 full time residents and many part timers, is on the north shore of Greers Ferry Lake in the Ozark foothills. The pristine 40,000-acre stocked lake is popular for fishing, water skiing and boating, and the resort operates a full-service marina. Fairfield Bay Resort’s two 18-hole championship golf courses have been sites for numerous Arkansas State PGA tournaments. In addition, the community offers tennis courts, swimming pools, miniature golf, mountain biking, volleyball, shuffleboard, bowling, laser tag, a first class health club, an excellent library with books, DVD.s, and WiFi connections, restaurants, and picnic areas.
Notes
My wife of 46 years, Cindy, and I moved to Fairfield Bay in 2000. We love the trees, the wildlife, the lake, the great golf courses, and most of all the people of Fairfield Bay. I like to tell people if you are in a hurry, Fairfield Bay is not for you. Slow down, relax, and enjoy this beautiful city. Our community was established shortly after Greers Ferry Lake was formed in the mid-1960’s. One great benefit to moving to Fairfield Bay is that most everyone else has moved here from somewhere and recently went through a move and the challenge of establishing a new home and friends. It is easy to ‘join’ Fairfield Bay. Many of us are retirees and are dedicated to fun and fulfillment. We would love for you to ‘join’ us either for a visit or a lifetime.
