Roten’s Furniture was founded in 1947 when Robert Earl Roten, an Air Force veteran in World War II who served in the European Theater, purchased a small furniture store and moved it to a building on East Main Street in Marshall. Known to all his friends as Earl, he and his wife Dean began operating their family business in the building still used today. Over the years the family grew and so did the business. Their only son, Bob, was born in 1959 and grew up in and around the store. He learned the furniture business from the ground up! Bob attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and graduated in 1981 with a degree in Business Administration. He married Rose in 1982 and returned to Marshall to help run the family business.
Over the next few years, Roten’s Furniture saw several major changes. Earl retired and handed the day to day operation over to Bob and Rose. New products and manufacturers were added to the store. The warehouse and showroom space were greatly enlarged, staff size was increased and the trade area expanded.
Earl Roten passed away in 1988. Bob’s mom, Dean, continued to enjoy coming to the store every day to “oversee” the operation on the business, greet, and visit with her many friends until her passing on April 4th, 2012. “Deano” enjoyed her time spent at the store in her favorite recliner and will be missed by family and friends. We will cherish our fond memories of “Big E” and “Deano” and will always love them.

Getting to do therapy is a dream I’ve had for many years; I am passionate about seeing people heal and be whole, and I am thankful every day I get this opportunity. My name is Mary Anne Gunter. I returned to college as an empty-nester, finishing my B.A. degree from Lyon College, and earning an M.S. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University, where I was nominated in the top ten percent of Harding to the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society.
I am currently pursuing my doctorate through the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I am dually-licensed in the state of Arkansas as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT), and Counselor (LAC). I was a former psychiatric nurse and a nurse case manager for at-risk children and families. I have led marriage and parenting groups as well. I am blessed to be married to my best friend for nearly 28 blended-family years with two adult children between us. Over the years we’ve adopted six useless basset hounds who tell us how high to jump when they’re not busy snoring. I enjoy reading, travel, writing, sewing, history, art. I’ve got a thing for dusty antique shops, and a mean cup of hot tea. I am honored to be a member of the following organizations –
American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy
American Association of Christian Counselors
Arkansas Counseling Association, state branch of American Counseling Association
Arkansas Christian Counselors and Therapists – annual conferences
Alpha Chi National College Honor Society
Greers Ferry Chamber of Commerce
Fairfield Bay Chamber of Commerce

What We Do
Offer consignment sales of pre-owned watercraft and UTVs. Lot faces HWY 330 S in Fairfield Bay at the four way intersection leading into the marina. High traffic area and only 1/4 mile from the marina and boat launch. Smaller lot ensures minimal inventory so that I can concentrate on anything we agree to sale.
When We Open
Rezoning of the current lot is underway and tentative opening will be 1st week of June. Can take boats on trailers or sale vessels moored at marina. Depending on business needs we also will be looking at having additional trailers to display vessels without trailers
Why Tide & Trail?
Only consignment shop on the North shore of Greers Ferry Lake in Van Buren County. I live in the Fairfield Bay Community and I am an avid boater. We are connected in the community with a local detail shop, mechanic, welder and the marina has the best staff on the entire lake. 100% Veteran owned & operated, 24 years of service. I not only sell the boats but live the lake lifestyle.
Will offer reduced commission on first 20 units sold to vessel/utv owner for the 2019 opening season
How Does Consignment Work
We stage, promote, demo/water trial your unit for qualified prospective buyers, handle all offers with your approval, ensure financial transaction is complete and transfer bill of sale/title to new owners. Usual commission 10% with $500.00 minimum and $3000.00 maximum
True Trail Demo
Where else can you demo a UTV on an actual trail to get the realistic performance of the machine you are buying!
Since our founding, we’ve worked with numerous clients throughout the area. Great service begins and ends with experienced and friendly professionals, which is why we put so much consideration into selecting only the best to join our team. We complete projects efficiently and on schedule, and go above and beyond to form lasting relationships with our clients.
