Drasco, Ar 72530
Kept Golfing Secret!
Voted by Golf Digest as
one of AR’s Best Places to Play!
Carved out of the Ozark Mountains surrounding the crystal-clear waters of Greer’s Ferry Lake, Tannenbaum is actually a peninsula surrounded by water. Every hole is tree-lined and elevation from tee to green changes drastically, especially #12, where the drop is 130 feet straight downhill to a semi-island green carved from the mountainside. The John Floyd-designed course offers five sets of tees and one of the most challenging layouts in the state; it was rated by Golf Digest as one of the best places to play in 2005-2006. Tannenbaum also offers a 10-acre proactive facility with driving range, putting and chipping green and practice bunker. Its convenient location puts Tannenbaum close to world-record trout fishing on the Little Red River, recreation on Greer’s Ferry Lake, arts, crafts and shopping and other nearby Natural State Golf Trail courses.
We would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to participate in one of the most exciting golf experiences you’ve had. Welcome to Tannenbaum Golf Club & Resort. Once you’ve experienced the joy and fun of one round of golf at Tannenbaum GC, you will leave here refreshed and with an addiction that you’ll want to fulfill again and again! Come and let us help you create memories with family and friends that will never be forgotten! Enjoy the serenity that is Tannenbaum!

Ozark Health first opened its doors in 1950 as a modest 12-bed medical facility. At the time, it was known as Van Buren County Hospital. In 1963, Van Buren County Hospital received funding to add a 34-bed nursing home to the medical center. The nursing home began operating soon after, in 1965.
From 1974 to 1980, the hospital experienced a number of changes including a thorough remodeling and refurbishing. During this time the nursing home was also enlarged to accommodate an additional 70 beds.
In August of 1982, the Board of Directors incorporated as Ozark Health, Inc. and the facility was rededicated as Van Buren County Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home.
Between 1990 and 1999, the hospital and nursing home continued to grow. In 1994, 16 beds were added to the nursing home and 12 more were added in 1999.
In Summer 2004, Ozark Health moved into its new, state-of-the-art facility at 2500 Highway 65 South in Clinton, Arkansas. This new medical facility was a major advancement in medical treatment and health services for the people of Van Buren County and the surrounding areas.
Ozark Health paid off the new facility sooner than had been anticipated. In the summer of 2010, Van Buren County residents passed an extension of the 1 cent sales tax that allowed the new facility to be built allowing for an expansion of Ozark HealthÂ’s medical facility. Construction of the expansion began in October of 2011 and will include a larger parking lot, emergency room, new MRI and CT Scan, physical therapy, outpatient exam rooms, and a separate walk-in entrance for outpatient guests.

Roten’s Furniture was founded in 1947 when Robert Earl Roten, an Air Force veteran in World War II who served in the European Theater, purchased a small furniture store and moved it to a building on East Main Street in Marshall. Known to all his friends as Earl, he and his wife Dean began operating their family business in the building still used today. Over the years the family grew and so did the business. Their only son, Bob, was born in 1959 and grew up in and around the store. He learned the furniture business from the ground up! Bob attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and graduated in 1981 with a degree in Business Administration. He married Rose in 1982 and returned to Marshall to help run the family business.
Over the next few years, Roten’s Furniture saw several major changes. Earl retired and handed the day to day operation over to Bob and Rose. New products and manufacturers were added to the store. The warehouse and showroom space were greatly enlarged, staff size was increased and the trade area expanded.
Earl Roten passed away in 1988. Bob’s mom, Dean, continued to enjoy coming to the store every day to “oversee” the operation on the business, greet, and visit with her many friends until her passing on April 4th, 2012. “Deano” enjoyed her time spent at the store in her favorite recliner and will be missed by family and friends. We will cherish our fond memories of “Big E” and “Deano” and will always love them.

Getting to do therapy is a dream I’ve had for many years; I am passionate about seeing people heal and be whole, and I am thankful every day I get this opportunity. My name is Mary Anne Gunter. I returned to college as an empty-nester, finishing my B.A. degree from Lyon College, and earning an M.S. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University, where I was nominated in the top ten percent of Harding to the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society.
I am currently pursuing my doctorate through the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I am dually-licensed in the state of Arkansas as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT), and Counselor (LAC). I was a former psychiatric nurse and a nurse case manager for at-risk children and families. I have led marriage and parenting groups as well. I am blessed to be married to my best friend for nearly 28 blended-family years with two adult children between us. Over the years we’ve adopted six useless basset hounds who tell us how high to jump when they’re not busy snoring. I enjoy reading, travel, writing, sewing, history, art. I’ve got a thing for dusty antique shops, and a mean cup of hot tea. I am honored to be a member of the following organizations –
American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy
American Association of Christian Counselors
Arkansas Counseling Association, state branch of American Counseling Association
Arkansas Christian Counselors and Therapists – annual conferences
Alpha Chi National College Honor Society
Greers Ferry Chamber of Commerce
Fairfield Bay Chamber of Commerce
