Our Story
Our story begins with our staff. Owners Dwight Olmstead and Darriel Ezell have long thought opening a funeral home in Van Buren County. After much prayer, thought and support from their wives, Lisa and Jessica, Dwight and Darriel brought their over 60 years of combined experience to Clinton.
We are Van Buren County’s only locally owned and operated funeral home.
We strive to bring the most affordable and dignified service anywhere to you and your loved ones in your time of need. A dignified and fitting service should not be expensive.
Rather you prefer a traditional and nontraditional service we are here for you. No request is to big or to small.
Our Staff
| Mollie We would like to introduce you to the newest member of our staff. This is Mollie. She is a King Charles spaniel. Mollie is in training as a grief therapy dog. Her training includes the recognition of grief and to comfort those she is with. Mollie loves everyone. She is never met by a stranger and loves to be held and petted. Her dislikes are chickens, birds, cats, and vacuum cleaners. Mollie is available to visit schools, nursing centers, and churches FREE of charge. Darriel serves on the board of directors, and as Chaplin, fire-fighter and first responder for the Cove-Creek Pearson Fire Department Darriel has also served as a patrolman for the Wilmot Police Department, Chief of Police for the City of Portland Arkansas, and as a Patrol Office First Class with the Arkansas Highway Police. |

| Dwight Olmstead, Owner Email: dolm601@yahoo.com Office Phone: 501-745-6791 Fax: 501-745-6792 Mobile Phone: 501-270-0234A 1975 graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, the Olmstead family has been servicing the families of Van Buren and Cleburne Counties since 1896.Dwight has served as President of the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association, Arkansas Burial Board, Arkansas Club of Burial Associations, Policy Board Representative to the National Funeral Directors Association, and served with many other clubs and civic organizations.Dwight also served as Cleburne County Coroner for 30 years.As hobbies Dwight enjoys golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. |

A professional florist and decorator, Lisa has worked on and supervised many large projects including a wedding for the Rockefeller family, decorating the Arkansas Governors Mansion, and her work has been featured in New York City design shows many times. Her and Dwight have three children: Ryan, Alesha, and Alexis. |

She is currently working to obtain her Funeral Director’s License from the State of Arkansas. She graduated from Arkansas State University with Honors with an Associate in Liberal Arts. She is a certified First Responder and Fire Fighter and currently serves on the Cove Creek/ Pearson Fire Department. She is an active member of Palestine Baptist Church. Her and Darriel have two children together, Caitlin and Ryan Ezell. |
